#240: xv not working after hibernate

After suspend to disk (s2disk) XV backend of mplayer stops working. Reset
of X server restores it.
If video memory is set in BIOS to 16MB, MPlayer spits out BadAlloc errors.
With 32MB or more, sometimes the video gets displayed (with corrupted
colors) when I switch to other window, in the part of that window which
overlaps with the MPlayer window. Often only one frozen frame gets
displayed this way. So far it has only happened with gnome-terminal.
I have a VN800 graphics card, and use Debian Etch with X.Org 7.1
