The log doesn't show anything really useful, so let's try a few random
things :
- Does it work if you start your machine in runlevel 3 then start X from
the terminal (in order to _not_ use gdm) ? Do you at least get to the
desktop until it crashes ?
- Does it help if use Option "XaaNoImageWriteRect"
- Does it help if you switch to EXA acceleration (Option "AccelMethod"
"EXA") ?
