You need to recompile drm(libdrm, drm.ko, via.ko, libmesa and then openchrome). 
I know the documentation says it's optional(technicaly it is), but if you want 
the best performance, lowest CPU overhead, least amount of bugs and hardware 
accerelaration, you MUST do it.
