You can backtrace VIARestore or VIALeaveVT functions in via_driver.c
I think this bug may exist because not all register are saved/restored in
VIASave/VIARestore functions (or it restores incorrectly).
Please compare openchrome with original VIA.

You can check if this error exists also in VIA driver.
