#353: VN800 incorrect or corrupt screen resolution

I am using the VIA VN800 chipset on my Fujitsu v2030 notebook. X.org
starts with a default resolution in 1600x1200, but the native resolution
is 1024x768. If I change the resolution to the native or any other
resolution the screen gets corrupted and unusable (similar to Ticket
#241). I tested this with the latest openchrome trunk version on Fedora 12
and Ubuntu 8.04/9.10.
