I'm using the openchrome driver on a Jetway motherboard (NF76 / Via Nano
+ VX800) with a 640x480 LVDS LCD Display with Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx.
Relevant section from xorg.conf file:
Section "Device"
Identifier "Generic Video Card"
Driver "openchrome"
Option "VBEModes" "true"
Option "ActiveDevice" "LCD"
Option "PanelSize" "640x480"
Option "SWCursor" "true"
EndSection
X starts up fine, however, when I try to switch back to a virtual console
or reboot, I see that the text console is all scrambled; the old text
appears to be smeared into vertical stripes. It almost seems like I need
to define a modeline.
Note, without the VBEModes=true option, X will also start up scrambled.
For some reason, the hw cursor is also missing up so I need to enable
SWCursor.
Also, I don't encounter any problems when I change the driver to vesa,
however, I would like to use the openchrome driver if possible.
