Yes, I can confirm the problem has now gone.
I'm using Arch linux 64bit with latest updates - except for openchrome
which I always check out from svn.
Switching to terminal and back to X works fine for me on my NC20.
Not sure about resume/hibernate as I don't use these - I've had problems
with disk corruption in the past, easier and less problems just to shut
the thing down!
