Hi,

I’m on a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo La1703 laptop with Chrome 9 K8M890CE chipset.
Distro is Debian 6.0.2, kernel version: 2.6.32-5-686; using gnome desktop
manager.
xserver-xorg-video-openchrome driver version is 1:0.2.904+svn842-2
Trying to startx with xorg.conf parameters "driver" "openchrome", the
screen become black and the system crashes (not xserver only) needing
reset.
Adding to xorg.conf different options such as "NoAccel"
or "XaaNoImageWriteRect" described in some openchrome.org tickets nothing
changes.
Moreover no Xorg.0.log is produced: i think that system crashes before
saving the log.
Xorg.conf is enclosed (even if very short, actually)

Using vesa driver, xserver starts (and graphics is quite good), but trying
to change console by pressing any of ctrl+alt+F* combinations, screen
becomes black
but computer is still working because you can shutdown it by normally
pressing power button or digiting commands.
Any suggestion ?

Thanks in advance
