I see the status bar as the system boots, and the screen flashes as if
it's trying to load X but it fails and just goes to a black screen, if I
control-alt f1 or something I can get a terminal on the system, but
there's no gui at all. Another oddity is before the rhgb status bar crawls
across the screen I get verticle green bars on the screen (this might be
around when grub is loading, not sure though).
I'm assuming that the driver is being loaded but fails when X tries to
start at the end of the boot process, I might be wrong. I'll let it start
in normal mode using the driver that ships with f16 current livecd images.
