Nil, Ruiting, Mike, Linas... Shujing is working on a Scheme UI for the pattern miner
http://wiki.opencog.org/w/Pattern_Miner_Scheme_Functions and fixing/improving various other Pattern Miner stuff... It would be good at this stage for her to have a sense of what kinds of filters/templates are needed for customizing the pattern miner to various application problems at hand... The applications we have at hand now seem to be e.g. -- patterns in English and Lojban NLP parses (Ruiting) -- patterns in PLN inference histories (Nil) -- patterns in statistically learned NLP parses (from partially learned grammars) (Linas) -- patterns in MOSES models imported to Atomspace (Mike) -- patterns spanning said MOSES models, and biological background knowledge (Mike) What would be useful for Shujing would be for her to have a clear sense of what kinds of filters/patterns will be useful in each of these applications. Or to put it perhaps more simply: If she had concrete examples of the patterns that we expect/hope the Pattern Miner to mine in each of these applications, she (and I) could probably induce from that what the filters need to look like... So what I will ask for is the following: Could each of you provide one or two examples of patterns that you would like the Pattern Miner to find in the above domains? This needs to be pretty nitty-gritty, i.e. down to the precise Atoms involved in the patterns (as that is the level the Pattern Miner is working on) If we could have this by the end of the week that would be great... Please add your examples / filter-suggestions to this page that I just created for the purpose: http://wiki.opencog.org/w/Pattern_Miner_Prospective_Examples thanks! ben -- Ben Goertzel, PhD http://goertzel.org "I am God!
