doing things like this by hand is OK for a little while but it then gets
tedious. For others, it would be useful to have a shell script that
downloaded books from e.g. gutenberg, using e.g. wget, and then removed the
boilerplate, converted to utf8 (using iconv), and in my case, split them
into chunks holding a few hundred sentences each.

Another one of my problems is that I also need good sources in other
languages.
