When you are young, it is best to participate in the mainstream, so that
you can better understand "how the world works".  When you are older and
more experienced, you can move in new directions.

Going alone when you are young typically results in getting lost in the
local woodlands, where you remain trapped forevermore, quite unaware of the
mountains and oceans and jungles of the world.
