Hi,

Please find attached the software layers in an OF Switch implementation that
uses the SAI APIs.
We should create an OF Abstraction Layer above the SAI APIs and define
vendor-independent SAI-OF APIs that will internally make use of the SAI APIs.
With the introduction of SAI-OF abstraction Layer, the switches that comply
with the SAI API will also become OpenFlow enabled.

Thanks,
Mallik

Just an update.

Please the following attachment. Please see the second page (Block diagram).
That is what I am hoping to achieve with SAI specific TTP. I plan to define
high level flow tables & group objects next week. Since many of you know OFDPA
TTP from Broadcom, I will try to use similar terminology wherever I find common
items.

Thanks

Subject: SAI oriented Openflow TTP defintion

Hi,

Since OF is one of the popular protocols to centralize control plane, I am
wondering whether anybody is defining SAI TTP (Table Type pattern) in the same
line as OFDPA (which was defined by Broadcom).

We are thinking of defining that. But if there is something already happening,
we would like to contribute to it.

Please let me know.

Thanks
Srini
