Hi All,
   We have released SAI v0.9.2.0 in the github. As noted earlier, this release
contains following features: Lag, STP, Mirroring, Port Numbering/Breakout, Host
Interface, SamplePacket, Unified Object ID. We also updated the SAI spec
document<https://github.com/opencomputeproject/OCP-Networking-Project-Community-Contributions/blob/v0.9.2.0/sai/doc/spec.md>
 to include these new features.
   We merged all v0.9.2 changes back to the master branch, and are taking new
proposals on our master branch.
   We also accept small feature requests/bug fixes on v0.9.2 branch and do
releases as needed.

Best,

-Guohan

Subject: [Opencompute-networking] Status of OCP-SAI, April 2015

Hi All,

Following is the status of where we stand with SAI today. Please bring out any
outstanding issues to the OCP mailing list. You may also find this status and
previous ones
here<https://github.com/opencomputeproject/OCP-Networking-Project-Community-Contributions/tree/master/sai/doc>.
 Thank you.

* SAI is requesting acceptance into the OCP. The call on April 13th
will mention the details followed by a presentation to the IC on the April
23rd. Key highlights:

* Successful demo at the March OCP Summit with 2 ASIC vendors and 2
different OS stacks.

* 10+ proposals submitted to the github

* 16+ proposals actively being worked on

* Increasing number of participants contributing to proposals and high
email traffic on the OCP mailing list

* Requesting contributions in the following areas

* build_sai, test_sai: We are looking at the following two options:

o    Google test framework

o    P4 software emulator

*         debug applications for SAI

* proposals in the ares of: tunneling (Ip-in-IP, NVGRE, VxLAN), and
security

* Conversion of proposals from doc to markdown format.

* The following proposals are actively being worked on and will most
likely also make v0.92

o QoS - split out into 6 diff objects -

?  WRED

?  Policer

?  Buffer

?  Queue

?  Scheduler

?  Scheduler Grouping

? QOS Maps (DSCP/DOT1p-> TC and TC->queue etc)

o    ACL

o    MPLS

* v0.92 is ready. Following proposals are incorporated into v0.92

*         Lag

*         xSTP

*         Mirroring

*         Port Numbering

*         Host Interface
