Hi All,

We are really interested by the Open Compute Project, we get our hands on a
quanta switch with the Trident II(BCM56854_A2) as an ASICS.

The ASIC manufacturer speaks about the OF-DPA and its openness. We'd like
to develop and contribute to this project (We are familiar mainly with
developing data path for different ASIC and NPU) But in this case, there is
not a clear information on how to start. So, I have some questions that if
any of you can help with an answer it would be a great start for us :

I'm sorry if those question are evident, I went through different subject
and I still did not figure the answer.
1- From the ONIE status
<http://www.opencompute.org/wiki/Networking/ONIE/NOS_Status> I don't see
any linux supported version such as ubuntu, can ONIE install Ubuntu, CentOS
? is there a a modified version of linux distribution to be installed ? or
we need to create our own Linux ?
We have an x86 Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU. 4GB of RAM, so the hardware can
handle most Linux distribution.

2- Is there anyone working with OF-DPA API with QuantaMesh LY8 ? If yes,
please is there any available free sdk such as the case of LY2. Because, I
did not find any on internet while the documentation about of-dpa and
open_api is available.

Best regards
