Hi Soramichi, Thank you for sharing this. I've taken a quick look at it and it looks very useful for anyone who want to experiment with SAI. However, if I've understood it correctly, I think it could be even more useful if it was split into two separate parts.
- A SAI -> Linux translation library. This is something we had thought about producing to help with our SAI experimentation, and your code here looks very useful. - A test framework including the rocker VM framework and sample SAI application. Have I understood correctly? If so, what do you think to this idea? We created a small SAI implementation and the goal of the project is to help both hardware vendors and SAI application developers by - Becoming a reference SAI implementation - Providing an easy way to test SAI application on top of it https://github.com/osrg/libsai The functionalities it supports as for now are: - L2 tenant isolation using VLAN (saiport, saivlan) - L3 inter-VLAN routing using virtual router (sainexthop, sairoute, sairouter) We are very happy if you could give a glance on it. It includes actual data-plane codes using a software switch, and anyone can try playing with it on a single PC!
