Also definitely not a Juniper representative (grin), but Juniper did
announce its Open Compute OCX1100 switch last year (
http://www.juniper.net/us/en/products-services/switching/ocx1100/) which
AFAICT is a rebranded Alpha SNQ switch (
http://www.opencompute.org/wiki/Networking/SpecsAndDesigns#Alpha_Networks_-_SNQ-60x0-320F_-_32-port_40Gb_QSFP_TOR.2FAggregation_Switch
).

Maybe that's what they meant?

All good stuff for open networking IMHO.
