Hi, While working on white-box switches (mostly from dell) I realized that other then the Broadcom chipset there are certain dissimilarities in all switches. Specifically CPU and Memory
e.g. Dell S-4048: CPU Intel Atom C2338, Memory - 2GB Dell S-6000: CPU Intel Atom S1220, Memory - 4GB Accton/EdgeCore/HP 5712: CPU Intel Rangely C2538, Memory - 8GB Accton/EdgeCore/HP 6712: CPU Intel Rangely C2538, Memory - 8GB Are there any standards/guidelines from OCP on CPU/Mem or vendors are using whatever is available at the time of manufacturing? Should NOS providers be concerned about CPU (provided all are using x86) and memory? Kindly point me to the right direction in case the relevent information is already published somewhere. off-list response would be fine. Best Wishes, *Aftab Siddiqui * eintellego Networks Pty Ltd
