Howdy,

As some of y'all know, we've been having some mailman (mailing list server)
problems for some time now (off and on for about 7 weeks). As a result,
some of y'all may have been unsubscribed (I got hit a few days ago and just
now realized I was missing some conversations on the mailing list).

So first things first, if you received an unsubscribed email, please
re-subscribe to the list. This one item will not affect your eligibility
for voting (more on that below) since there are ways to verify that via the
archives and logs.

So now to the voting part.

As some of y'all have expressed either individually or through the mailing
list that y'all should have been expecting a voting key, I would like to go
back and discuss the requirements for being eligible to vote in any OCP
elections.

>From the post announcing Project Lead elections and opening up the
nomination phase (
http://opencompute.org/blog/ocp-project-lead-elections-nomination-phase-now-open-for-the-2016-2018-term/),
head down the 'voting' heading (I'll quote it below):

---
To be eligible to vote for a project lead in this election individuals must
be an OCP Member (Individual or Tiered) and signed up for the mailing list
on the OCP project they wish to cast a vote in.

Foundation Employees and OCP Board of Directors are also eligible to vote
for the Project Leads.

Those who wish to vote should make sure they have created an account on the
OCP website and signed up for the OCP Project mailing list that wish to
cast a vote in no later than 20 June 2016. If you belong to a member
organization then please use your organizational email address on both the
OCP Mailing list and for your account on the OCP Website.
---

To register for the OCP website (opencompute.org), you had to go to the
main website and click 'Sign In->Register' and then filled out the form.

To determine if you are a registered member, you can use the following link
(available from the top of opencompute.org -> About -> Membership
Directory): http://opencompute.org/about/member-directory/

The second criteria was to register to the mailing list (found on the main
Networking wiki page: http://www.opencompute.org/wiki/Networking

Both of these item should have been done before nominations closed (June
20).

If you did not complete both of those items by June 20, you are not
eligible to vote in this election. However, we do have an upcoming
election next year for IC members (about the same time frame) so y'all are
well prepared for that.

If you did complete both of those items by June 20 and have still not
received your voting key, please send an email to electi...@opencompute.org
(cc me if you want) and state that you have not received your voting key.
Mention approximately when you registered (to narrow the search) to both
the website and the mailing list. NOTE: You may be asked to send the
confirmation email from the mailing list if you participate in the list in
a 'read-only' capacity (i.e. you haven't posted anything to the list). But
don't worry, voting ends July 26 so there's plenty of time left to cast
your vote.

Thanks.
