Dear Matt,

What would this do to the MailScanner.conf and other files that have been changed?

Dear Nico,

Hi,

I'm currently running version 5.0.1.4 with exim

Can I just install this to effect the upgrade, or are there special

upgrade instructions?

Thanks

Nico

Uninstall the existing version by running "openprotect-uninstall" and
 then install the new version.

In /etc/MailScanner, MailScanner.conf and some report files for each language are the only files that will be used from this new version, everything else is version independent and will be copied from the previous version over the new version files so as to restore as much settings as possible, from /var/openprotect-backup. If no backup of a previous version is detected, then all the files will be from this version only. As for other directories, only the new versions will be used in bin, sbin, lib.

cheers,
