Hi,

I've been using exim for a while, and someone reccomened that I see about
adding your front-end to exim. At the same time, someone suggested
exiscan, which seems to do the same thing inside exim as you do before it.
Is there a difference?

Yes, there is a difference in the approach to the problem being solved.
Both exiscan and openprotect (http://www.opencompt.com/openprotecttech.html) deal with the problem inside exim. exiscan filters mail at the SMTP level, meaning when after the SMTP talk between the MTAs, it barges in, does its work. openprotect filters mail at the queue level, it gets the mail, puts it in a queue file and does its work.

cheers,
Ganesh, KM.
