The convention of the ods-ksmutil is to write informative information
to stderr and the command output to stdout. This is so that you can
redirect the intended output to its own file without having the extra
information.
I think that stderr is better as it stops the contamination of
redirects, as Rickard says.
I have though wrapped up the print statements so that they only get used
if the "-v" flag is present.
