I don't have the seed email but was this user trying to import
a lengthy file series using the Sequencer? 
There was a problem in the commercial version circa 3.1.2 which
got fixed but may have crept back into OpenDX:
When the number of files ran into the thousands, DX would
run out of memory because Import didn't call fclose.
