I've tested it on several other Linux machines, that have installations independent of mine. All show the same behaviour. The most obvious common factor seems to be XFree86. Do people have a "nice" ColorMap Editor on a Linux/XFree86/LessTif/Mesa box in 16 bpp? I cannot imagine that this is only a local problem here. Rob.
