Only Mesa 3.2 and higher is... Mesa 3.3 which is still in Beta is really
OpenGL

Yes, SGI OpenGL SI most recent one has Linux ABI,
thus better...  At some point in future Mesa might merge into SGI OpenGL SI
as far as I know from SGI OpenGL Lead developer.

Yes, but only if you have OpenGL accelerated video card.  The best one
I could find is nVidia, their ABI is part of official SGI OpenGL SI
Extensions now.
