I have XFree86 running. It's pretty bare bones, but at least I get some windows now. There are rumors that Apple has plans to support X applications running along side Quartz. This makes a lot of sense. Why go to the trouble of building a new Unix-like OS and not support existing Unix apps. The copy of XFree86 I'm using came right out of Apple's Darwin cvs repository. I have downloaded the Motif source but have not attempted a compile yet.
