Mark,
I don't think something like this exists. It would be really nice if
MapToPlane was just extended. You might be able to do a MapToPlane
and then take a Slice of it but I'm not sure. If you need it as a
generalized version then it will probably take hacking.

I'm looking to see if there exists such a beasty in code form. I
could just hack
apart MapToPlane, but it would be easier if one already existed.
Any pointers?
