The quick and dirty results from prompter were designed for beginners to get some kind of image back without the DX learning curve. You are ready to move on. You may need little more than a net that does ImportSpreadsheet, AutoAxes, and some form of output (Export, Image, whatever).
Look into dx -script which can execute a "net" as a script. You can in fact also write a script as a simple text file: .net files are gruesome because all the UI commands are interlaced with all the actual executable instructions, but if you don't need/want the UI, you only need the executables which you could write yourself (personally, I prefer to program using the UI). Yes you can launch DX in many other ways that suppress windows, suppress the UI, etc., but if your net includes Image or Display, those windows will inevitably pop up. So you need to look at using DX as a preprocessor to spit out a stream that is compatible with your Tk input. The online PDFs and htmls document the various command line options in Users Guide Appendix C and the Script language in Chapter 10. Keep us posted if you get this working: others are interested in interfacing DX to other display systems!
