You may be right. I'll ask them.

I had heard about problems with 7.0, e.g., that there are some kernel
conflicts on 7.0
http://faqs.lokigames.com/faq.php3?view=all&product=GL40
http://www.evil3d.net/articles/linux/howto/nvidia/redhat7/

Unfortunately, I can't seem to get at the patches that they imply exist,
assuming that's the problem.

However, I have the opendx 4.1.0 rpm using the previous version of the
nvidia drivers working just fine on one system, but core dumping on another
7.0 system with the current nvidia drivers. When I try 4.1.3 on a 7.0
system with the previous nvidia drivers it works, leading some credence to
the suggestion of a conflict (and now having at least one workaround).

Thanks.

You might send a note to the Nvidia guys and see if they can offer a
suggestion. It appears that it is an Nvidia extension within GL. Now
the version I provided is for Redhat 7.1 and is using Nvidia's
drivers for 7.1--that may be a problem.
