This is a bug with Apple's compiler. If you have a technical support
contract with them you can get the answer. If you don't, you can get
a technical support contract with VIS, Inc. and we'll help you get it
compiled. When the next release is finalized, we will have a
pre-compiled version that users will be able to purchase from VIS,
Inc. Sorry, but we have to try and support our efforts (costs)
somehow.

I updated my XFree86 to the last 4.2 release, and I got 'dxexec'
built correctly. The only trick is to explicitly link against libdl.
I used it a bit, and it looks stable, and efficient.
I then tried to compile dxui, but after forcing the linking against
libXm, the final linking of dxui gives me the following error
message:
/usr/bin/ld: ../base/libBASE.a(DXType.o) relocation overflow for
relocation entry 239 in section (__TEXT,__text) (displacement too
large)
I absolutely don't understand what this message means...
What can be done to work this out? Is there something wrong with DXType.c ?
Thank you to all those who work on opendx; it looks like we are
pretty close to a Darwin version!
