Greg,

The libtool branch of cvs is running quite nicely. I can build dx, and libraries quite consistently across my different platforms. The thought on the libtool branch was to give a place for the new config tools to be used, but I'm finding it more and more difficult to keep parity between the main branch and the libtool branch. What would you say about merging the two back together into the main and using libtool as the main build mechanism? I've tested on MacOS X, Windows (MSVC), and RedHat Linux. There is another user that has tested FreeBSD. I will test on Solaris today, that would leave AIX and Cygwin as really the last two to test. If it would pass the test of building on all these platforms, what would you say?
