I'm not an expert on this; but for a better user interface, wouldn't a kind of "Edit->Preferences" dialog be more user-friendly for such things. Of course we need a file that saves the preferences settings: one file for the system preferences, and another for the user's personal modification to the system ones. The configure script should run down a list of possible browser programs (mozilla, netscape, ie, opera, ...) for the system prefs. The browser could then be set by the user in the Edit->Preferences dialog. Rob.
