Go ahead and let it finish, it will eventually (about an hour) or you
can change the optimization for just this file to -O1 and compile it
(edit the Makefile and then change it back). Its a bug that's been
reported to gcc.

Hi,
I have tried to compile dx 4.3.0, but it hangs at zclipQ.c.
This is the last compiler message:
sh ../../../libtool --mode=compile gcc-2.95 -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I.
-I../../../include -I../../../include -Dlinux -I/usr/include
-I/usr/include/freetype2 -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_REENTRANT
-I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/include/libxml2 -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64
-I/usr/X11R6/include -g -O2 -Wall -g -O2 -I/usr/X11R6/include
-D_GNU_SOURCE -c
-o zclipQ.lo `test -f 'zclipQ.c' || echo './'`zclipQ.c
gcc-2.95 -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../../include
-I../../../include -Dlinux
-I/usr/include -I/usr/include/freetype2 -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_REENTRANT

-I/usr/X11R6/include -g -O2 -Wall -g -O2 -I/usr/X11R6/include -D_GNU_SOURCE -c
zclipQ.c -o zclipQ.o
I am running a debian testing/unstable distribution. I have tried
compiling with
gcc 3.3 and gcc 2.95, to no avail.
Any ideas or when does the debian package for 4.3.0 releases,
grtz,
jan
