Yes, I followed the README file. 1) I got and installed the usertools.exe from (it has been renamed to that from user.exe) ftp://sourceware.cygnus.com/pub/cygwin/cygwin-b20/
2) Installation of OpenDX, all three sections, unzipped after instaling the above. Everything went without any error messages, except for "/ not found" which you said was OK. Starting Exceed(not in the README). Should I be setting an IP address? (Is there some specific procedure for this?) 3) Running OpenDX.bat. (I was doing this pretty late last night, so I gave up without much of checking but I will check the ENV today). I also found some references in the mailing list archive. thanks again... Did you read the README file before downloading? Are you using OpenDX.bat file to start OpenDX? You need the following in your Windows ENV SET DXROOT=C:\OpenDX\dx SET DXDATA=C:\OpenDX\dx\samples\data SET DXMODULES=C:\OpenDX\dx\bin_intelnt SET DXMACROS=C:\OpenDX\dx\samples\macros SET XkeysymDB=C:\OpenDX\bin\XkeysymDB SET XerrorDB=C:\OpenDX\bin\XErrorDB Replace C:\Opendx\ with your install path **************************** Suhaib M.
