I believe the answer was that the net tries to open the file "watermolecule" which is a DX file but doesn't have the suffix .dx. There was something wrong with that openDX build such that the filename parser didn't do the right default thing.
So I think the quickest fix is to open Import (in example1.net) and set the format to "dx" (it's on the little pulldown menu to the far right inside the dialog box). Or rename the file to watermolecule.dx then change the Import filename to the same. If that doesn't work, let us know, cause I've misremembered the fix (or the problem).
