Sorry for late reply, I was away on vacations.

To install DX on a drive other than C: you need to install Cygwin, start
Cygwin Bash shell
and type (for example to install on a d: drive)

cd /

mkdir d

mount -b d: /d

If you are using DX 4.0.6 then folliwng install instructions on your screen
and change the directory to d:\opendx when prompted.

You must edit Opendx.bat in opendx\bin directory to reflect your install
PATH.

Exceed 5.1 is not tested and I cannot say what is the problem. The DX is
linked to
X11R6.4 libs and required X11 libs are included in the archive so this
should not be
a problem.

Feel free to ask if you still have problems

-----------
Hello,

Would someone with experience in installing Cygwin and OpenDX on a drive
other than C: (for winNT) be willing to share their configuration settings
with me? I can't seem to get past an "Unable to connect to dxexec" error
message. My TCP/IP is installed, and Exceed 5.x seems to be (at least)
X11R6.1 compliant.

Any ideas/suggestions would be most welcome!

Thanks,

Bruce Nairn
