As Jeff mentioned, there is a distinction between Image windows and Display windows. Display offers an option to display on a specified X display. Try replacing the one in the net with a fresh copy. It should then default to your current X display. It is possible that the first Display is badly set somehow. This can happen for example if you change the X display location, save the net and send it to someone else. Then they get no image. Possible that happened here.
