Hi Dick- Just to clarify what I hope you've done/said:
-you used regedit to replace your "...IBM Visualization Data Explorer\CurrentVersion" UserName and CompanyName with those on http://www.research.ibm.com/dx/keys.html -you used dx -register to update the license key itself (or maybe you used regedit while you were there). -your DX 3.1.4 PC installation now works with the updated transition key -I can conclude that the key is good and my instructions to you are good (these things get called into question fairly often, so it helps to certify them when the opportunity arises). -You'll try opendx/cygwin on NT and raise questions (and if necessary, a ruckus) if it doesn't work for you.
