It sounds like you don't have OpenGL and XGL installed. It should be on
your AIX CD, but was often not installed automatically with 3d hardware for
those older RS/6000s...

Under SMIT, you can see what's installed:
Software Installation and Maintenance->List Installed Software and Related
Information->List Installed Software

Subject: [opendx-users] unable to load DXhwdd.o

Hello ,

I am using DX3.1.4.B and i have a problem in loading files
used by GL or OpenGL.

When i start the example FatLines.net i get the message:

unable to load DXhwdd.o or DXhwddOGL.o

If i set the environment variable DXHWMOD to DXhwddOGL.o
i get the message:

Starting DX executive
Memory cache will use 448 MB (28 for small items, 420 for large)
port = 1900
 0:  worker here [58124]
server: accepted connection from client
Begin Execution
ERROR: Image: Display: Bad parameter: Hardware unavailable: unable to
load module '/usr/loca
l/iatf/dx/bin_ibm6000/DXhwddOGL.o. Is graphics library installed?'

i have a   GXT800M Graphics Adapter  .

He asks for a graphics library. How can i check that i have it.

Thank for your help
