Ahh, living with autoconf. Put the custom include paths in both CFLAGS and CPPFLAGS. Some tests are made with the c preprocessor. Also, when configure chooses cpp vs cc -E, some platform-specific defines that are automatic with c need to go into CPPFLAGS because cpp doesn't set them. Pete
