Thank you Peter and Dandy for pointing out Image Magick's extensions. My main problem now boils down to: After compiling ImageMagick in, how do I tell the DX executables to use ImageMagick for generating pictures?
I've downloaded DX CVS to my Linux (RH 6.2) PC. After adding the ImageMagick lib & include paths, my DX executables now use libMagick.so.5 (checked with ldd). But I can't see any effect of this on, for example, the WriteImage module. This module still shows the same options as before (rgb, r+g+b, tiff, pscolor/gray, epscolor/gray, gif, yuv, miff). Is that alright? When I choose "gif", the Message Window pops up with "ERROR: WriteImage: Bad parameter: 'gif' is not a valid string for the file format". Can't see any difference with/without ImageMagick. Thanks for your help. Rob.
