There are no mdf files for the modules in the dx library. Module
description files (mdf) are needed to make your custom outboard and
runtime-loadable modules available for use. Take a look at a
mdf file and you will see it defines the module name, category, input and
output. This is the information that is need within the VPE and a
configuration dialog box.

The Compute is extremely powerful, and it is often recommended that you
try using the Compute modules before building your own custom module. For
the expression line, you can enter multiple expressions separated by
semicolons and even assign values to variables. If you want more inputs,
either Edit->Input Tabs ->Add or ctrl-a. You should already be familar
with adding tabs to the Collect module. You can also rename the inputs
from "a" and "b" to variables with more meaning (eg., temp, radius, etc.).

You might also want to check out the Compute2 modules where expression can
be entered and selected from another tool.
