There are two ways to set this up.
dx -mdf filename.mdf
where filename.mdf is either in the directory where you're starting
or is the full path to your directory or
set DXMODULES /full/path/filename.mdf
Within the mdf file, the path to the executable must be a full path.

Hi,
I have compiled a module (outboard ?) and would like DX to be
able to find
it automatically when it starts up. This module takes the output from the
Image and writes out a RenderMan RIB file for rendering via PRman/BMRT.
I tried to lookup the information using the DXMODULES keyword
but could not
find the information I need.
Someone mentioned that I have to include the *.so file in the
LD_LIBRARY_PATH, I have tried that and still not successful.
I am running DX 4.1 under Red Hat Linux 6.2.
Currently, everytime I want to use the module, I need to
navigate the file
system via the browser to locate the MDF file.
Cheers
