The Connect module is one of the slowest in DX, as you might imagine if you think about the algorithm involved (Delauney triangulation). I'm not positive but I believe this is O(n^2) or thereabouts. I successfully connected approx 47000 points by letting my SGI run overnight. I don't know how long it actually took, but it did succeed.
