A first step would be, right after you import the
file, put in a Print module (with the option "d")
which should print out the first and last 25 items
in each component. Connect is telling you
you've got duplicated positions; your file doesn't
look like they are, but see what Print has to say.
That may way clue you in to what sort of import
problem you might have.

Subject: [opendx-users] 3D Scatter Data Problem ~ maybe a bug in DX

Hi

I am reading in the following scatter data into dx using a file.general
that I created using the Data Prompter:

X                   Y           Z   Temperature

0.7500 0.7500 0.2500 30.9300
0.7500 0.7500 0.7500 32.8500
0.7500 0.7500 1.2500 34.9200
0.7500 0.7500 2.0000 37.9600
0.7500 0.7500 3.0000 41.5300
0.7500 0.7500 3.7500 43.5400
0.7500 0.7500 4.2500 44.5500
0.7500 0.7500 4.7500 45.2100
0.7500 0.7500 5.2500 45.4700
0.7500 0.7500 6.0000 45.2700
0.7500 0.7500 6.7500 43.7400
0.7500 0.7500 7.2500 42.3400
0.7500 0.7500 7.7500 40.6300
0.7500 0.7500 8.5000 37.7400
0.7500 0.7500 10.0000 31.8400
0.7500 0.7500 13.5000 22.5800
0.7500 2.0000 0.2500 35.2100
.
.
.

and these continue for 9744 total lines of input.

When I Import the file.general file, which is simple and for information
looks  like

file =  /usr/local/dxsamples-4.0.8/data/168.lis
points = 9744
format =  ascii
interleaving = field
field = locations, Temperature
structure =  3-vector, scalar
type = double, double

end

after line 15 makes it through the Connect module I get 9744 - 15 warning
messages in the Message Window of the type

0: WARNING: duplicated position 16 ignored
0: WARNING: duplicated position 17 ignored
0: WARNING: duplicated position 18 ignored

etc to

0: WARNING: duplicated position 9743 ignored

I note that the data went through the Data Prompter Test Data utility -
no  problem.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem.  Thanks for your help
