I've used the ImageMagick route for years, writing "master files" in MIFF from DX. I then use various IM tools for post-processing to whatever I needed. In some cases, it's part of scripts that automatically generate stuff from raw data coming from models or sensors. In other cases, I've imbedded them in DX macros, some of which predate OpenDX directly supporting IM.

Has anyone created a module/macro for directly writing images to a mjpeg or mpeg video stream? Or do you just write a set of images and create a video out of them later?
