Hi All,

I would like to convert imported positions from a product of generic arrays to a
product of regular arrays.

I am importing HDF files containg data and position information (scientific
dataset
and scales in HDF lingo) into openDX, which works properly. However, the scale
lists (a separate list of positions for each direction), which in principle are
truly regular, were stored as floats and have round-off errors. This seems to
spoil openDX's determination of delta, and causes the scales to be read as
generic
arrays.

I have experimented with AutoGrid and Regrid, but their descriptions say they
modify
the data component by interpolation, besides they run SLOWLY. I want to
'correct'
the positions (make them regular) and leave the data component untouched.
Is there a straightforward way to do this?

Regards,
