MapToPlane does an arbitrary planar slice within a volume. What you have
as input is a surface, not a volume.

There are a couple of approaches to cut open your surface. One, is to use
a ClipPlane or ClipBox, for example, which is applied at render time.
Another, is to use Include to eliminate vertices or connections by value
(if there are data at the vertices) or by location (i.e., Mark
(,"positions")->Include->Unmark)

Subject:  [opendx-users] MapToPlane with triangles

Hi everyone,

I have a surface defined by irregular points and irregular connections
which are triangles. It looks pretty.
Now I would like to see cross-sections of the whole thing but
MapToPlane complains about triangles being an invalid connections type.
There must be a trivial step I am missing here.

Thanks,
Andras
