How did you untar the archive? If you used the Winzip that is your problem.
You must use tar zxvf command from Cygwin to untar.
Also send me your mount table.  From cygwin bash shell do 

Mount

And send me a cut and paste of the out of put.  You should have binary mount
points.

Try moving your help to proper mailing list.  I cannot keep going through
