You are getting the error because Select expects a group or list (i.e.,
Select a member) and you are passing it a single field rather than a group
with one member (i.e., that field). The solution is to have Import create
a group with one field, or do an Inquire after Import to determine if you
have a group or field and then use Switch, i.e.,
Import---------------

Subject: [opendx-users] Strange "Select" behavior
I have a general use network (for quick looks at data) which goes:
File Select > Import > Select > Autocolor > "rendering stuff"
StringList > Selector > ^
This works fine as long as there is more than one field in the data. But
when there is only one field, I get a select error, even if I have the
Selector set to the correct component in the file.
Why is that?
